Chat

• CHANGE: When a member sends several messages close together, they are grouped and only the first shows the sender's name and the time. A group kept going as long as each message came within 5 minutes of the one before, so one time could stand for a much longer conversation. A group now ends 5 minutes after its first message, and the next message shows its own time. Hovering over any message shows its full date and time. https://beta.groups.io/g/main/message/41506
• CHANGE: The + button in a chat now has a tooltip saying what it does: add photos, videos or files, see the chat's members, or leave the chat. In the + menu, Leave Chat now has an exit icon instead of a trash can. https://beta.groups.io/g/main/message/41506
• CHANGE: The menu for each chat on the Chats page now has icons for Edit Chat, Close Chat, Reopen Chat and Delete Chat, like the same menus elsewhere on the site. https://beta.groups.io/g/main/message/41506
• BUGFIX: The text a member wrote when starting a chat appeared in the Chats list and in the email announcing the chat, but not in the chat itself, which showed only "Created this chat." The text now appears in that first message, for existing chats too. https://beta.groups.io/g/main/message/41506
• BUGFIX: Deleting the first message in a group of messages from the same member left the next message with no name or time. It now shows them. https://beta.groups.io/g/main/message/41506
• BUGFIX: In a group's sidebar, the Chats count of unread messages didn't change as you moved between the group's pages, so it could be out of date until you reloaded the page. It now updates on every page.

Chat

• CHANGE: In chat, you're now told when the connection drops and when it comes back. A message you send while disconnected stays in the message box instead of being lost. New messages, deleted messages, and the typing indicator are announced to screen readers. The "jump to latest message" button can be reached with the keyboard and says how many new messages there are.

Chat

• BUGFIX: In chats, leaving a chat produced a "Joined" event bubble instead of "Left". The join=1 parameter also stayed in the address after joining a chat and produced spurious "Joined" bubbles on a refresh; it is now removed once the join has been sent. https://beta.groups.io/g/main/message/41163
• CHANGE: In chats, the emoji picker now closes when you click outside it, and the profile links in the Chat Members dialog open in a new tab. https://beta.groups.io/g/main/message/41163
• CHANGE: On /addchat, the chats dropdown reads "Closed Chats" when editing a closed chat, and a Cancel button returns to the chats list.
